Franciscan Protomartyrs' Way
Let's not expect a miracle. Let us expect the Way
The Franciscan Protomartyrs' Way unwinds through the diocesan territory of Terni-Narni-Amelia.
The Way starts in Terni, crosses the towns in which the Protomartyrs Berard, Adjutus, Accursius, Peter and Otho were born, and ends in Terni, at the Antonian Sanctuary of the Franciscan Protomaryrs, following the places where St. Francis carried out his work preaching and leaving an indelible mark.
The Way was created by dividing it into 6 legs; as soon as a few technical issues regarding the route have been overcome, a new leg of the journey will be inserted and it includes the Marmore Falls (Cascata delle Marmore) and Lake Piediluco, places that were very dear to St. Francis.
